Busy, busy, busy!

Congrats go out to several of our Authors for being published in the (most recent) on-line journal, Prune JuicePrune Juice  is a journal devoted to Senryu, Kyoka and Haiga.

If you enjoy reading these lovely forms of Japanese poetry, stop by Prune Juice and browse the latest issue or older ones. Lots of great reading and well worth a visit.

Pieces of Her Mind's Author, Sue Campion, has been working hard behind the scenes in generating and directing attention to our book. She along with Carol Judkins, Marie Toole and Joan Stern have been busy promoting and attending conferences where they've been able to drive attention to and garner support regarding Pieces of Her Mind.

Sue mentioned that we need to be on the look out for the article (she wrote) titled "Women's Voice: Senryu Has Its Place" in the upcoming issue of "Frogpond," the hard copy journal of the Haiku Society of America," which discusses our book and the senryu poetry form.

Carol Judkins and Sue Campion will be attending the HNA 2013 Conference.  Their poems will be included in several readings. Hope to see you there. Queen Mary, Long Beach! What a beautiful setting. Registration closes July 24th. Visit the website,

Sue will be undergoing another surgery on her shoulder, so in tribute to her pending surgery, a bit of humor comes your way from her own experience and thoughts .

Last night
my new titanium ball
popped out
reconstructed shoulder
sucks air from lungs and soul
Devil fights Lord
We're all pulling for her and wishing her a successful surgery and speedy recover.
